Introducing W&B’s New Screenplay Salon
Celebrate the 60s and Ken Kesey’s birthday. Join us in the Verb Café for the screening of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, based on Ken Kesey’s most famous novel. Jack Garner will host a discussion of the screenplay and the film. For more information about how to join our Screenplay Salon, call at 585-473-2590, x104. The Art of ASIL
ASIL is no acronym, she is a Rochester-born figure artist armed with a powerful style of depiction. Her career took off during a stay in Massachusetts, where she honed her technique of creating an almost haunting and sometimes sorrowful flow of images. In Rochester, ASIL has displayed her artwork in various coffee shops and local galleries and has earned an Emerging Artist award from the 2001 Image Art juried show. Join us for an opportunity to view and purchase some of her oil paintings and other works. Local poets Norm Davis, Marie Mandiak, Rick Pietrie, Lindsay Klug, Michael Ketchek and others will read poetry inspired by ASIL’s creations.
