Instructor Bios

George Campbell McDade

George Campbell McDade, a native of Glasgow, Scotland, holds a Master's Degree in English Literature and Dramatic Literature (Creative Thesis) from Bowling Green State University, Ohio. He has extensive experience as an actor playing major roles in plays that span from Shakespeare to Shaw and Ionesco and Williams. His video "The Stone Soliloquy" fro which he wrote the script, operated the camera and played the major role won a Juror's Award at the Finger Lakes Exhibition, Memorial Art Gallery, Rochester New York. He has taught English at Bowling Green state and Art History at Monroe Community college. He has worked as a narrator in various documentary and educational videos and films, including a prize-winning video for Action For a better Community entitled "Finding a Life". Currently he is working on a play about a young boy who believes he can fly. He still doesn’t know whether or not the boy can actually fly. Maybe he will never know. He is fascinated by his own and others illusions and delusions.
