ONE ROTATION

Be silent.
For the sun has yet to rise.
Look closer.
Life rises over the trees.
Look again.
The silver stars are gone and the morning clouds are pink.
Look up.
Where the sky still clings to the night’s last breath of black.
Look down.
As the color seeps into your feet and fills you up until you overflow.
Look around.
The day is green and blue.
Look now.
The light is in its strongest hour.
Look quick.
It’s about to fade again.
Look back.
Dusk paints gray and orange.
Be silent.
For the sun has not yet set.
