WRITTEN IN BLUE INK

Opening up into Blue
It takes me back
Turns me inside out with familiarity
Leaves me curled on the floor
Still breathing
Heart beating
Possibility increasing
Fragmented Blue caught beneath ice
As thick as you make it
Stagnant soul
Also cerulean Blue—a shocking pigment
Squeezes past lacerated navy
I am as Blue as the Queen’s blood
Death march drumming
Blue fire burning
I am octaves higher than Blue
Resurrected Blue
Perceptional Blue
Pure blinding—yet—clandestine Blue
Whispered in the hallway
A hidden boy’s best friend
I am opening into forbidden Blue
