Sept. 24 through Dec. 17 (every other week)
$142 W&B members / $149 general public

Have you read the full Lord of the Rings trilogy and love to talk about it? Or have you only seen the movies? Whether you’re a big fan or never found time to crack the cover, we invite you to join a facilitated reading group for a seven-week study of the series that made number one on a list of the greatest literary works of the twentieth century. At the kickoff class we’ll get to know each other, set expectations, and review some history of Tolkien and his works. Subsequently we will read one section prior to each session. In each class we will examine the material through the literary lens: dramatic tension, sentence and textual structure, character development, historical perspective, and thematic elements.
