Outdoor Women Writer’s Day

F11-T01
1 Saturday 10 a.m – 2 p.m. AT GELL
Oct. 16
$39 W&B members / $43 general public
Instructor: Angela Cannon

For the outdoor women writer who loves a challenge: we’ll be hiking about a mile UP from the Gell Center to the Overlook at Ontario Country Park – one of the highest points in Ontario County with great views. We will, however, take our time and along the way enjoy selected readings from women naturalists and environmentalists. At the scenic overlook we’ll break for lunch, after which we’ll have individual writing time on a given theme or open topic. Participants will be invited to share their new work before we hike back to Gell (down, this time). At Gell we can explore possibilities of creating our own Finger Lake’s Outdoor Women Writer’s Anthology. Pack a lunch and water bottle, and something to write with. Sturdy shoes helpful (but you already know that!). Daughters and individual teens are welcome!
