Armamentarium Latinae

F12-L01
8 Thursdays 7-9 p.m.
Sept. 29 through Nov. 17
$175 W&B members / $180 general public
Instructor: Sam Abrams

ar·ma·men·tar·i·um (ärm-mn-târ-m) The complete range of materials available or used for a task.
This workshop will have two purposes: 1/ to endeavor to provide the new or returning student of Latin with all the tools, intellectual, printed and web-based, to enable a motivated learner to continue the study of Latin independently; and 2/ To have fun. We will be using Wheelock’s Latin: The Classic Introductory Latin Course, Based on Ancient Authors, which is available from Amazon.com and A Libris.com for as little as $0.30 plus shipping. The best study guide to Wheeler and other resources are on line. As an index of your commitment, I would like to require all students to invest in a good Latin/English Dictionary, either the Cassell’s Latin Dictionary: Latin-English, English-Latin by D. P. Simpson (Not the Concise version!) or Oxford Latin Desk Dictionary by James Morwood (Not the Pocket version!). Both of these are available reasonably from A Libris and Amazon.
