Wine and Words: “Wine-ing Poetic”

S11-T02
1 Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
June 25 at GELL
Price $39 W&B members / $43 general public
Instructor: Holly Howell

“Clear pale gold, with delicately earthy scents of truffles and mushrooms surrounding ripe honeyed apples. Tart, almost tangy tree fruit flavors with a soft sweetness shyly peeking out from behind a curtain of steely acidity.”
Say what? I thought it just tasted like white wine. Many of us like to sip on a nice glass of wine from time to time. But, you may wonder how that simple and enjoyable beverage became so complicated to describe. Well, we are going to completely de-mystify that in a matter of hours. Learn how to taste wine, how to appreciate its flavors, and how to best describe it in your OWN words. Students need only bring their taste buds and their creativity.
